Glass Packed
Free flow design with a perforated wrapped in
fibreglass. Found as OE on performance vehicles
and can be either of the following.
1) Megaflow – has a perforated tube bent to suit the
inlet/outlet configuration These can be centre/centre,
offset/centre or offset/offset.
2) Chambered design has the inlet and outlet tube
welded to an internal baffle plate.Inlet / outlet
chambers are packed with fibreglass, while the
centre one is not.
3) E suffix denotes an extra centre to increase
back pressure and reduce noise.
